"At 6,700 feet, the mountain changes how your body responds to work. At HATC, we don’t fight that — We train with it."
Cameron Wurf
Co-Owner, High Altitude Training Center
Olympian • World-Record Ironman Cyclist • Elite Endurance Athlete
Training at elevation exposes everything: poor recovery habits, bad pacing, ego-driven loading, and inconsistent programming. HATC exists to remove those traps and replace them with intelligent structure, sustainable progress, and a culture that respects the work.
This approach is shaped by the combined experience of Cameron Wurf, an Olympian and world-record endurance athlete, and Damien Navarro, whose background spans performance systems, facility design, and athlete environments.
Together, they built HATC around a simple belief:
Altitude doesn’t forgive lazy programming. Neither do we.
Whether you’re here for a weekend, a season, or a full year, the goal stays the same:
help you adapt to altitude without burning out.
We prioritize sustainable strength and durability over short-term wins. That means training that carries into real life and sport, respects fatigue, and compounds over time. At altitude, rushed progress gets exposed quickly — so we train for consistency, not ego.
Conditioning at elevation demands restraint and precision. We design training that adapts to reduced oxygen availability without overreaching, balancing intensity, volume, and recovery so athletes can build real capacity without burning out.
Recovery isn’t a bonus — it’s a requirement. We integrate recovery into the training process so athletes can handle stress, adapt to altitude, and show up ready day after day. If recovery doesn’t support progress, it doesn’t belong here.
